Everybody dies, but not everybody lives

These three weeks have been pretty amazing. I never really liked or appreciated the beach, but I think I've gone to five different beaches in the span of a week and a half. I enjoyed being able to drive again, experience the delicious eats again, and hang out with my friends - both from high school and college. It's been really great waking up at noon everyday, something I've never really been able to do. During this time, I've also been able to check off many things from my summer list!

At the same time, I'm extremely excited to go back to Berkeley. It's becoming more and more like home to me. Public transportation and my own two feet save me gas money, and I'm also looking forward to eat and shop in places I haven't been able to visit during the school year. The colder weather is definitely something I'm excited for. Getting sunburned for the first time in my life while biking to Huntington Beach last week was not fun. So, good-bye Southern California, thank you for making me feel so alive!

The past three weeks in a wrap:

baking and cooking {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
prom pictures for Jeff and Jessica
Corona del Mar, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica Pier {+ Huntington Beach}
Hollywood w/ K and D

Read my articles for Caliber Magazine: 1 2 (another upcoming one on June 4)

strangers to sisters

So many posts on my pledge sisters {here, here, and here} but I love them to death. I'm so glad we were all put into the same class and I truly wouldn't change any of you. We're so incredibly different...it's such a wonder that we get along so well. I'm excited for our living situations next year because we'll all be invading your spaces for those of you who're living in the house (woo!). I'm excited for the summer hang outs and more bonding like joyrides in San Francisco. I love how we bonded over life talks, stupid nicknames, and ridiculous music video making. I love Catherine's motherliness, Lindsey's outbursts, Rhianna's bamf-ness (thank you for convincing me), Rebecca's inner girliness, and Katrina's edginess. Thank you for making this semester slightly more bearable.

Bidding winter break goodbye

As winter break comes to a close over this weekend, I have so much to be grateful for and so much more to look forward to. I had an amazing winter break - it surpassed all expectations.

Winter break has been so good to me - maybe a little too good. I'm anxious to go back to Berkeley, but I'm also looking forward to many things this upcoming Spring semester. I'm ecstatic for a semester with Caliber Magazine, my internship with ONE, Inc., my bigsib Esther, and the myriad of opportunities out there. I'm looking forward to solidifying friendships, bettering photography skills, meeting new friends, and finding healing.
